US premium paint giant, Benjamin Moore has launched its Colour Trends 2022 Pallete which is dominated by earthy tones with October Mist as the stand out colour of the year, a stunning shaded sage green. Reminiscent of the early morning haze that appears over fields and in forests, we love this grey-green hue.
Sherwin Williams too has chosen a Sage Green, and there’s a brighter green from Behr, the exclusive interior and exterior paint brand to the DIY market at Home Depot.Â

We understand the attraction to shades like this for traditional style entrance doors. For example, our Olive Grove, was voted by visitors as the most popular colour at FIT Show in 2014, and it has been in our range ever since. Over the last couple of years we have seen the introduction of Renolit Sage by many UK systems companies as a core colour offering, as well as Lawn Grey as part of our 2020 Colour Additions which were also inspired by subdued natural shades.
If we are following US colour trends, it looks like the blue revival is behind us and green is making a resurgence.
